Super Curriculum
Education Beyond the Classroom
Teaching and learning at Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing is always open to a textbook or a campus. This philosophy extends into the Super Curriculum programme.
With a wide range of extra-curricular extensions and activities, Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing’s overseas trips, school exchanges, world-class competitions and other top resources, including the internationally renowned ‘Duke of Edinburgh’s Outdoor Expedition programme (DoE), virtual United Nations conferences, math competitions and the World Scholar’s Cup. We also offer adventure activities such as mountaineering, diving and trekking. From in-school to out-of-school, we harness the power of ‘learning beyond the classroom’ to create personalised educational experiences and growth pathways for students.
Learning has no boundaries
Learning has no boundaries, occurring inside and outside the classroom while visiting great monuments and buildings or exploring the natural world. Different learning experiences contribute to that mysterious and essential quality: ‘character’.
The school’s extracurricular activities offer students numerous opportunities to embrace new challenges, collaborate with others, foster independence, and build self-esteem and confidence. Complementing the core academic curriculum, we provide a wide variety of sports and extracurricular options for students to explore. Through these activities, students engage in a fun, relaxed environment and develop a deeper interest in their academic subjects.
These extracurricular experiences are invaluable, enhancing university applications and future job interviews. More importantly, they are pivotal in shaping students’ personalities and character, equipping them to navigate the ever-evolving future confidently.
