In September this year, eight outstanding high school students from the UK, who have already achieved remarkable academic and personal success, joined Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing.
On 24th October 2024, we, as parents, were privileged to step into the kitchen of Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing for a fascinating tour.
It was a momentous occasion last Wednesday, as Wycombe Abbey Nanjing warmly received the 2024 Annual Expert Delegation from our esteemed sister educational establishment, Wycombe Abbey School in the UK.
“They are highly qualified overall and deeply passionate about education and school development,” said Mrs Sun Ling, Chief Adviser of Wycombe Abbey Schools, who served as an interviewer.
One of the unique aspects of our classroom setup is that the foreign and Chinese homeroom teachers share the same classroom space.
Currently, the secondary school at Wycombe Abbey Nanjing has a total of 72 teachers, with a balanced ratio of international and Chinese teachers (approximately 1:1). The average teaching experience is over 10 years, with around 55% holding master’s degrees or higher, and nearly 7% holding doctorates.
As this new school year begins, how will our principals bring this vision to life and inspire the WAS community? Let’s discover together through their letters as the year unfolds!
